Fundraising

St Joseph's Pre-school aims to organise at least 2 fundraising events per year, for which parent/carer participation is gratefully appreciated.  It is always on the lookout for new fundraising ideas, as equipment always needs replacing and updating.  Please let committee members know if you are able to help in any way with this.  We will ensure that you are advised of forthcoming events in a timely manner.

 

A regular fundraising activity at the Pre-school is the half-termly cake raffle (6 per year): The raffle is held on a Friday, a cake is made by one of our parent/carers and tickets are available to Pre-school and Primary School parents/carers.  The cake is usually a single (big) cake with some decoration that appeals to the children (eg sweets).  The raffle is drawn in the Pre-school on the Friday afternoon, before the 3pm pick up.  This means that if a Primary School child is the lucky winner, we have time to transfer the cake to the Primary School before the end of their day at 3.20pm.   

 

In addition, St Joseph’s Pre-school is signed up to the following two organisations.  If you purchase anything through them, then we periodically receive a donation.

Each order placed quoting the Pre-school fundraising reference number (20078) will provide us with 30% commission.  

Loads of brands here, eg. M&S, Ebay, Amazon etc, that you can purchase through.  Most brands pay a % of what you spend with them as a donation, eg. £150 on booking.com = £4.50 (ie. 3%).  Some retailers pay a flat amount, eg if you buy car insurance at confuse.com, they will donate a flat rate of £15 regardless of the cost of the policy.  To use you will need to sign up, and then when you want to purchase something, sign in, choose a cause (St Joseph’s Pre-school – Nympsfield), then shop!
