Our school mission statement is Inspiring everyone to REACH through Faith, Hope and Love. At school we support our children in developing an understanding of, and live according to these virtues.
‘As it is, these remain: faith, hope and love, the three of them; and the greatest of them is love.’
Faith
Our Catholic faith provides the foundations from which all that we do is built upon as a school family alongside the local parish. Every Monday morning the whole school gathers together for our Liturgical Prayer. The Gospel is shared and led by the children, and key questions are posed and children are actively encouraged to respond to these throughout the week. The focus is to understand God’s message and how we can do His work on earth. During Celebration Assembly on Fridays, we have an award for each class for pupils who have demonstrated either our virtues (faith, hope, love) or our school values (REACH).
Hope
Our children are the hope for the future, to make the world a better place. The set out to achieve this through the charity work they do, such as a ‘litter pick walk’ for CAFOD, looking after God’s wonderful world, while almsgiving to those in need. The children run a ‘Fair Trade’ tuck shop which was established by a small group of children who felt passionately about a world that is ‘fair.’
Love
The children love one another as Jesus loves us. This is evident through the actions and words of their everyday being.
