SEND at St Joseph's

At St Joseph’s, we are committed to ensuring that every child matters and will always recognise individual success.   All children are valued, respected and welcomed to the school whatever their additional educational need. We will support their learning and ensure they are fully included in all school activities, making full use of externally provided facilities where appropriate.  Children with special educational needs are identified early and interventions put in place to address their barriers to learning.  Most interventions are run by qualified and experienced TAs.  Below is the SEN report alongside the Local Offer.  If you have any questions, then please contact:

Our SENCO is Mrs Chloe Ponting and you can contact her on admin@st-josephs.gloucs.sch.uk .

Our link governor for SEN is Mrs Nicola Connolly and you can contact her on chair@st-josephs.gloucs.sch.uk .

All pupils respond well to support and make good progress. Each term, meetings are held between the class teacher and parent to review the child's My Plan. If extra support or advice is required then the school may refer to external agencies.

If any parent needs further advice or support about their child's learning or behavioural needs then they are encouraged to speak to their child's class teacher in the first instance. Further information can be found in the SEND information report and SEND policy, by clicking on the links below.

If any parent has a complaint about their child's provision and support then they need to follow the complaints procedure, available on the 'policies' section under 'key information' or request a paper copy from the office
