Spring Term 1, Week 1
Happy New Year!
A huge welcome back to Mrs Guoite too - who has joined our Class alongside Mrs Daly, Mrs Piper and Mrs Barron.
We have loved returning to St. Peter's, and cannot believe we have campsite in the role play for our Explorer's Topic - with a big star to remind us of the journey of the Wise Men! We cannot wait to REACH in our learning this term.
We have loved taking our learning outside throughout the week - especially to see and use snow and ice in our learning. We have looked across the school grounds for signs of winter, seeing, noticing and wondering about the world around us and the changes in nature. We used high expectations to draw and write the things we saw on this walk. We spotted red berries and Ivy with some ivy.
In Maths we have continued subitise numbers, including linear and dice patterns. We have been recreating these and matching them to their numerals with confidence. We have continued our learning around shapes too in our provision, creating them with our pegs!
In RE we made constellations, empathetically thinking about the journey of the wise man who travelled in Faith and Hope in search of God's Love.
