Pre-school Practitioner Vacancies

1:1 Early Years Practitioner Position Part-time, Fixed Term Contract, Term Time Only (dependent on funding).

 

This post will be dependent on Early Years funding, however, currently we are looking for someone to support a child in our setting between 12 hours a week, across three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). Salary will be dependent on qualification and experience. The post is fixed term contract until the end of the academic year (17th July 2026); dependent on Early Years funding. Potential Start Date: ASAP

 

The post will be a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year (17th July 2026); dependent on Early Years funding. The child is currently having an EHCNA therefore there is potential for this role to continue into the 2026-2027 academic year either at the Pre-school setting or adjacent Primary School depending on parents decision for school starting year.

 

We are looking for a kind and caring individual who is enthusiastic, uses their initiative and is very patient and adaptable. Applicants do not need to have childcare qualifications however a minimum appropriate Level 3 qualification would be desirable but not essential. Applicants will develop a good knowledge of the EYFS, be able to work as part of an established team and develop excellent communication skills.

Early Years Practitioner (Level 2 Essential, Level 3 Desirable)
Part-time, Permanent Contract

 

The role is for Monday 8.45-11.45am, Thursdays and Fridays, 8.45am – 3.15pm (16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time including INSET days). There may be some flexibility in hours and days for the right candidate.  There may also be opportunities for additional hours to cover staff absence or busy periods, offering flexibility for those looking to increase their hours.

 

We are looking for a kind, caring and reliable individual who is enthusiastic, proactive, patient and adaptable.

 

Applicants must:

  • hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in the Early Years however Level 3 qualification in Early Years is desirable; 
  • have experience working in an Early Years setting;
  • be able to work as part of an established team;
  • demonstrate strong communication skills.

 

A good understanding of the EYFS is desirable and will be further developed within the role.

 

First Aid and Safeguarding training are desirable but not essential, as training can be provided by the setting.

 

Salary: £13.82 – £14.93 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications and responsibilities.
